Tamarind Springs Spa in Koh Samui

Tamarind Springs Spa in Koh Samui

One of my most magical spa experiences was at the Tamarind Springs in Koh Samui.

On arrival they asked for our phones and they provided a basket with two different sarongs – we were then taken into a seating area for ginger tea.

I found massages in Thailand to be generally much longer than I have been used to and picked the shortest time which was 1 hour and a half (I can’t lie there for 2 or 3 hours – to much to see and explore!!!)LOL

The surrounding mountains and forest were beautiful and it is was wonderful to be really amongst nature.  There were beautiful rock pools and waterfalls in the tropical forest and it is a unique experience to hear the forest sounds of birds and wild creatures in the air.   We had about 45 minutes to enjoy the sauna built into the rocks, swim in the rock pools and try out different natural scrubs such as orange and lemon, coffee and greens all crushed and organic.

Then we moved on to our massage which was high up in the open air in a tree house with a spectacular view.

I loved it so much, I asked my husband to bring me back again for another experience and this time I must take photos to share with you guys!  I spoke to the manager about using my camera and he approved to take some images on the outside and around the reception, but not allowed inside to respect guest’s privacy.  The outside is just as nice and can give you guys an idea of how amazing this place is!

If you are visiting Koh Samui, the Tamarind Spa is a MUST – you will have a heavenly time.

I wore a beautiful embroidered Melissa Odabash Kaftan from Beachcafe.com – that fitted so well with the forest theme.
