The world famous Wimbledon Championship is a lovely reminder of British Summer, off duty summery dresses, walks along the river Thames and a cool glass of Pimms.
I enjoyed a wonderful day watching tennis at Wimbledon earlier this week with my friend Azima and we were lucky to watch Roger Federer play against Tommy Robredo it felt like the longest match I have ever watched started from 1pm to about 4pm and apparently matches can sometimes last for 5 hours!! It was amusing when a boy in the audience shouted out loud “ROGER WILL YOU MARRY ME” everyone laughed and Roger looked up. We had great fun together sipping our Pimms and watching the games with little breaks for some summer British dessert.
A perfect time to be around town in tennis-dress cuts by Omar Mansoor an up and coming London based designer who is known for his detailed designs featuring signature embellishments and classic cuts. He has been designing an event themed collection every year for Royal Ascot and this season he was inspired by the Wimbledon Championship a collection of sporty luxe dresses in Scottish Tartan in six different colours.
I look forward to seeing a Wimbledon fan wearing Omar Mansoor’s designs to the final this year!!
