Haute Couture Week SS17 – Alexis Mabille

It is the time of the year again where we are approaching Couture Week – my favourite form of fashion week. I love it most because the catwalks are usually filled with dreamy gowns, I leave each show with an ora of amazement.

Last season, beginning of the year in Jan 2017 I attended Paris Couture Week SS17 and discovered the day before traveling that I an newly pregnant, I was really nervous about my usual fashion week run arounds and no eating until night time or bad croissant diets.  My mom and husband were being very pushy about me cancelling the whole thing, but I insisted and promised them I will be careful and if I feel slightly tired or hungry will make sure to eat and head back to the hotel.

Now let me take you through the fun of SS17 – I wrote an article about my experience at Fashion Week for InStyle Magazine. It has always been my favourite UK Magazine and the only one I subscribe to – they published my article on site http://www.instyle.co.uk/fashion/news/fashionlollipopblog-couture-week-diary . Enjoy reading!

With Soraya Shawky who came in from Switzerland to spend the day with me and Thuy Thuy I met her at the Alexis Mabille Show.

I wore a mix of prints to the Alexis Mabille show using the same family of colours – both the dress and coat were quite elaborate, matched together looked like a piece of art.   I love wearing vibrant coloured mascara’s and feel it really brings out my eyes, I had green mascara on with brownish eyeshadow and strong red lips. The perfect fashion week street style look that usually captures all attention.

Dress and Coat: Paul Costelloe – Boots: Gucci – Bag: Lady Dior.

Alexis Mabille Show was by far one of my favourites in design, full of vibrant colours, the playful colourful bride with vivid lace and mixture of colour block. A flirty, strong and sensual collection.
