Anya Hindmarch SS16
I have seen so many fashion shows over the past few years, but only a few have struck me and always pop in my mind! I am talking about the overall experience at the event – from fashion design, performance, organisation, make-up look, to attendees.
Anya Hindmarch show for SS16 was one of my favourites – I loved the inspiration, music and mirrored walls with abstract dancers and the quirkiness in the handbag designs.
I sat at the FROW next to Natalie Massenet founder of the Net-A-Porter group and we talked about her farewell to the world-wide brand she has created. Natalie felt she dedicated over a decade of her life and it was the right step to make and spend time with her family and turn her focus to being the Chairman of The British Fashion Council.
Good Luck Nat I hope Net-A-Porter’s amazing quality and service doesn’t change with out you!
I started off with covering backstage with MAC cosmetics for Nawa3em.com for make-up trends. I interviewed the key make-up artist Var Garland about the looks she created for the show.
Var Garland wanted to create a dewy and clear skin with no eye make-up and keep the focus on beautiful red lips – models almost look identical.
As for the Abstract dancers it was all about their skin – keeping the focus on their dance moves.
With Natalie Massenet just before the Anya Hindmarch show starts.
